2008年7月10日下午，在长春大学外宾接待室举行了“周华盛先生基金会”向长春大学四川籍受灾学生捐款仪式。

出席仪式的有长春大学潘福林校长，王忠书记及学工处王健飞；莱佛士国际学院温碧瑄院长，教务总监Dr.Chan, 王主任和叶主任，还有接受捐赠的10名四川籍长春大学学生。

仪式由长大外事处姜处长主持。 温院长首先代表周华盛先生表达了她们对此次受灾学生的深切关爱与慰问。潘校长又代表长春大学及受捐赠的学生，向周华盛先生的捐赠以及温院长为此做的工作表示忠心的感谢。莱佛士国际学院行政主任向学生们发放了捐款，每位学生获得人民币5000元。仪式接近尾声，受赠学生用他们精心准备的朗诵《感恩的心》，向周华盛先生，莱佛士国际学院及长春大学关爱他们的老师，表达了他们感激之情。

最后，让我们在这里忠心祝福受灾学生，勇敢地克服困难，我们相信他们的明天会更美好！

In the afternoon July 10, 2008, a Donation Ceremony was held in the Boardroom of Changchun University. The Mr. Chew Hua Seng Foundation made donations to the Sichuan students at Changchun University. The families of these students, and their homes, were stricken by the earthquake disaster.

Prof. Pan Fu Lin, Dean of Changchun University; Mr. Wang Zhong, Secretary; and Mr. Wang Jian Wei, Director of SA Department; Ms. Nina Voon, Executive Vice Dean of RCU; Mr. Alvin Chan, Academic Director; Ms. Wang and Ms. Ye and ten Sichuan students attended the ceremony.

Ms. Jiang, Executive of the Foreign Affairs Dept. of Changchun University hosted the ceremony. On behalf of Mr. Chew Hua Seng, Ms. Voon spoke to express the sympathy for the students felt by all. Prof. Pan and the students’ representative thanked Mr. Chew and Ms. Voon for their efforts. RCU gave out the donations of 5,000 RMB to each student. The students expressed their gratitude to RCU and the lecturers of Changchun University by performing a recitation of ‘Thanks Heart’.

Last, but not least, we all hope that the students will overcome the hardship caused by the earthquake. We believe their futures will be better!
