Summer Art Festival Reception

The first RCU Summer Art Exhibition was successfully held at Sol Latino, a Changchun restaurant and lounge. Through the evening of July 2, 2008, Mr. Gregor Wateler, GM of the Shangri-La Hotel, Mr. Hossein Nafari, GM of VALEO, Mr. Joaquin J. Caselles, GM of DuPont and more than 100 Chinese and foreign friends attended the Art Show.

Organized by RCU students, the Exhibition consisted of 47 works designed by Raffles Computer Graphics and IM students. Guests enjoyed the performances by Raffles musicians, and praised both the students’ artworks and the excellent organization of the Exhibition’s opening reception.

Thirty-two of the works were selected as ‘most popular’. Many of the guests bought reproductions of the works on display. In addition, eleven sets of student-designed postcards were sold.

We are already working towards the next Art Show, hoping that the students involved will have another great and unforgettable evening.

2008年7月2日晚，莱佛士国际学院第一届艺术展在桂林路拉丁尼斯拉丁文化主题酒吧举行。长春香格里拉酒店总经理Gregor Wateler、富奥-法雷奥总经理Hossein.NAFARI、杜邦公司总经理Joaquin J Caselles、长春金炉品牌形象策划有限公司总经理仇悦平、大有网络科技有限公司经理王方、风行展览展示有限公司经理安沁园等100多位中外各界朋友应邀出席了本次艺术展。

本次艺术展共展出了手绘和设计作品共47件，这些作品均出自我院设计系学生之手。精美的作品得到了嘉宾的高度赞赏。当晚，有32幅手绘及设计作品和11套明信片设计作品被嘉宾预定购买，还有嘉宾发出邀请，要与同学做进一步的接触和合作。一位买下作品的外国朋友表示，他非常的喜欢这些既突出了中国元素又有国际化特点的作品。

艺术展由我院工商和设计专业同学们的负责筹备，在他们的共同努力下，成功地组织了这次活动。精美的作品、清凉的饮料、味美的点心、悠扬的演奏，这间拉丁风格的酒吧俨然成为了一座艺术殿堂。嘉宾和同学们热情交谈着、讨论着，尽情的享受着这样一个令人难忘的夜晚。

此次活动不仅增长了同学们的见识；同时也让更多的朋友了解了我们的学院、我们的学生；让我们期待下一届艺术展同学们更加精彩的表现。
