I am Dr. Alvin Chan. I graduated with a BA (Merit) in Economics and Southeast Asian Studies from the N.U.S. in Singapore.
I also hold a Post-graduate Diploma in Education from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School (UK). In addition, I read my doctorate at California Coast University (USA) and is also a certified Master Facilitator for Tetramap (New Zealand), a behavioral management system.
In the year 2000, I represented Singapore in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Conference on Education by presenting a creative thinking workshop on Random Associative Thinking System (RATS) to an audience of international delegates.
In recognition of my work in creative thinking and education innovation, I were awarded an honorary title of Advisory Board Member at the Cambridge Philosophy Institute (CPI) in Switzerland. On top of that, Harvard University’s Hobbs Professor, Dr. Howard Gardner (known as the “Father of Multiple Intelligences”) has listed me as Singapore’s main contact in applied Multiple Intelligences in his book, Intelligences Reframed.
