International
students (non-Chinese citizens) attending RCU must apply as first
year candidates. International students currently attending Chinese
colleges or universities may apply for transfer admission. If
you are an international student who has finished an undergraduate
degree, you may not apply to our undergraduate programs, but are
welcome to apply to our graduate programs.

What type of application should
I submit to RCU?
International students should refer to the descriptions below
to determine the category of admission for which they are eligible.
Specific instructions for each group are also listed:
If you are an international student attending lower secondary
school, you must apply as an Early High School Programs and submit
the four-year program application form.
If you are an international student
attending high school, you must apply as First Year Student and
submit the regular application forms.
If you are an international student
at a Chinese college or university, you may use the RCU transfer
application form. Please contact the admission office.
If you have completed an undergraduate
degree, and you wish to study at the post-graduate level you should
write directly to the graduate school for more information.
I am already enrolled in an international
university. Will I get credit toward graduating from RCU for
the work I have completed?
If you are accepted and choose to attend RCU, you are advised
to submit translated university transcripts and course descriptions
to the Admission Office. Credit is often granted for comparable
coursework, and individual academic departments are often receptive
to awarding placement in appropriate course levels.
Am I required to take the IELTS or TOEFL
if my first language is one other than English? Is there a cut-off
score?
You are not required to take the IELTS or TOEFL. RCU offer ESL
course for all students. If your
score IELTS at 6.0 or better or TOEFL paper-based test at 550
or better; or computer-based test at 230 or better. You need
not follow the ESL program in RCU.
