Chinese Zodiac Year of the Tiger Graphic Design Competition Winners
Congratulations are due to an RCU lecturer and two students who won awards for the results of a project done last term. The awards were from the Chinese Zodiac Year of the Tiger Design Competition, which was run across China.
Lecturer of Visual Communication, Alexandru Ghitescu’s work, “Woman Tiger” won the Chen Hanmin Critical Prize. Graphic Design student, Ann’s work, “Man is Tiger” won the Cai Qiren Critical Prize. Both of these prizes are very famous in the whole of China. Rikiki’s work, “Line Work” was selected for the book. In 2008, Ferney Manrique’s work, “Ox” was included in the book Chinese Zodiac Year of the Bull.
The 2009 book will be out by the end of the year.
We will continue to encourage our students to compete in all types of contests around the world. Our students will always benefit from the competition, from winning a prize to gaining experience.
