Admission to Raffles Design Institute is opened to all individuals regardless of sex, race, religion or nationality. Selection for admissions is based on an overall assessment of the individual's potential and merits with the following guidelines. Please contact one of our Education Consultants for more information.
Intakes
There are four intakes in a year. The terms commence every January, April, July and October.
Entry Requirements
Applicants are required to have the SSC or HSC exam passed in all subjects or have equivalent qualification to this level. Applicants are also required to attend an interview with one of our education consultants, where they need to demonstrate their creative abilities and their proficiency in both speaking and written English. If student do not meet the requirement, an English Placement Test will be required.
English Language Requirements
All courses at Raffles Design Institute are conducted in English. Students must have the ability to communicate in English. Students who fulfill any of the requirements below will be exempted from taking English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. These classes may or may not be taken concurrently with their main programme.
- A minimum TOEFL score of 500* (paper-based) or 173* (computer-based) or 61 (internet-based)
- A minimum IELTS score of 5.5*
- Upper Intermediate (Level 4) completion of Raffles English Language Programme
- A minimum score of C6 at GCE '0' Level Examinations
* Taken in the last two years.
Application Checklist
- Duly completed application form
- Four (4) passport size photographs
- Copy of Applicant's Identity Card or Passport
- Copies of Applicant's latest educational transcripts and certificates
- A relevant portfolio: 3 - 5 representative samples of your recent creative work that reflects the range of your creative skills and potential. These can be any media e.g. digital images, paintings, drawings, sketches or workbooks;

- A 500-word essay outlining relevant background, experience, and interests as well as career goals
- Personal CV of Applicant
- Upon admission, an application fee would be payable.
